Membership protection is our goal
We are not the Committee of Veterinary Technician Specialties (CVTS) and we are not affiliated with the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). We are members of NAVTA and the recognized specialty Academies.
How will the CPVTNS protect the integrity of the collective membership mark?
The CPVTNS has resources everywhere that collect information on individuals falsely claiming membership. Or, the specialty academies may submit concerns of an individual abusing the collective membership mark. From there with trademark protection, we will send a letter to the individual about the inappropriate use and kindly ask them to stop. If this is unsuccessful, we will then have our attorney write a formal cease & desist letter. If the letter from the attorney fails, we will then use every legal avenue against this individual to stop them from claiming membership.
